In PRO Software, Specials refer to work orders that are not recurring service orders. These include specific driver instructions for one-time actions such as deliveries, pickups, unit switch-outs, or relocations.
Why Are Specials Important?
- Specials act as driver instructions, ensuring clarity on what needs to be done at a job site.
- They are typically managed by Dispatch, though Sales teams also use them for scheduling and asset management.
- Your PRO Software instance comes pre-loaded with common Specials, but you can create additional ones as needed.
How to Create a New Special
- Open "Dispatching."
- Click "PRO Data" in the top blue bar.
- Select "Specials" from the dropdown menu.
- Click "Create New."
Configuring a Special
- Name the Special and enter any required details.
- Assign a color to differentiate it visually on the route map.
- Additional Options:
- Require mandatory photos before closing the work order.
- Auto-generate invoices for work orders.
- Assign the special to a Pickup & Delivery (P&D) Route.
- Click "Save."
