Efficiently Managing Pickups and Drop-offs in PRO Software

The Pickup and Drop-off process is a crucial part of managing onsite units effectively in PRO Software. This guide outlines the step-by-step procedure for handling unit placements, ensuring seamless documentation, and troubleshooting potential issues.

Drop-off Process: Placing Units Onsite

Step 1: Enter Unit Information

  • Upon arrival at the location, place the unit.
  • Enter the Unit Number manually or tap the Camera to scan the unit.
  • Click Submit to proceed.

Step 2: Assign the Unit to the Jobsite

  • If this location is a drop-off, ensure the unit is properly assigned to the jobsite.
  • Complete all required information for the drop-off.

Step 3: Capture Photos & Notes

  • Take a photo of the unit to confirm proper placement. (Admins can make photos mandatory for quality control.)
  • Add any additional notes that may be relevant.

Step 4: Finalize the Drop-off

  • Click DROPOFF to complete the process.
  • The system redirects the driver to the Work Order screen.
  • Since the unit number has been recorded and assigned, the driver can either Scan or choose Close Location Without Scanning to complete the process.

Important Notes on Drop-offs

  • While it is possible to Close Location Without Scanning, it is not always recommended. Drivers will be prompted to leave notes when selecting this option.
  • It may take some time before all units and locations are fully set up based on company implementation schedules.
  • If a driver encounters an issue or is unsure of the next step, they should document it in the Notes section before proceeding.
  • If a negative number appears or the Drop-off Prompt does not clear, DO NOT attempt to drop off a second time. Instead, Close Location Without Scanning and notify a manager to contact technical support.

Pickup Process: Removing Units from a Location

Step 1: Enter Unit Information

  • If a pickup and drop-off are scheduled at the same job site, this will be visible in the Work Order.
  • Enter the QR Number manually or tap the Camera to scan the unit.
  • Click Submit to proceed.

Step 2: Complete the Pickup

  • Since this location is a pickup, click Pickup to remove the unit from the Work Order location.

Step 3: Confirm the Pickup

  • To verify completion, click Unit Details and double-check that the unit has been removed from the location.
  • Similar to the drop-off process, drivers can take photos and add notes as needed.

Final Reminders

  • The pickup process is essentially reversing the drop-off process.
  • If any issues arise, document them in Notes before proceeding to the next location.
  • For additional support, drivers can contact PRO Software for assistance.

By following these structured steps, businesses can ensure accuracy, improve efficiency, and maintain detailed records of their onsite unit placements.
