Navigating Routes in PRO Software: A Quick Guide

Efficient route planning is crucial for businesses that rely on field service operations. PRO Software provides multiple tools to help drivers and dispatchers manage routes seamlessly. Whether you prefer an interactive map view or an offline PDF, here’s how you can optimize your route management.

Route Overview Options

1. Map View: The Best Way to Visualize Your Route

For a full and interactive look at your route, the Map View feature provides a detailed visual representation. This is the recommended method for planning and reviewing routes in real-time. By clicking on Map View, users can:

  • See the entire route at a glance.
  • Identify any potential bottlenecks or detours.
  • Make quick adjustments if needed.

2. Downloading a PDF Route Sheet

If you anticipate being in an area with poor cellular service, downloading a PDF route sheet is a great backup plan. This option allows drivers to:

  • Access the route offline without relying on mobile connectivity.
  • Keep a hard copy for reference if needed.

Note: The downloaded PDF will be saved to the driver’s device and must be accessed through the device’s downloads or storage.

3. When to Use a PDF Route Sheet

While the PDF option is available, it is less commonly used. We recommend downloading a PDF only if:

  • A driver does not have a printed route sheet.
  • The driver is unfamiliar with using digital maps.

Since the PDF is a static offline version, updates or live traffic adjustments will not be reflected.

Final Notes

By leveraging these route management tools, drivers and dispatchers can ensure a smoother and more efficient experience on the road. Whether using the Map View for real-time navigation or a PDF route sheet as a backup, PRO Software provides the flexibility to handle various routing scenarios.
