Setting up a static route in PRO Software allows for efficient scheduling and dispatching of recurring stops. Follow these steps to create and configure a static route.
Steps to Create a Static Route
- From the PRO home screen, click "Dispatching."
- Click "Scheduled Routes," then select "Static Route Templates."
- Click "Create" to begin setting up a new static route.
- Enter general static route details:
- Route Name
- Driver (must be assigned in User Setup)
- Vehicle (must be established during data import)
- Yard (Depot)
- Day of the Week
Note: PRO Software will have driver and truck details pre-configured by this step.
Setting Up Locations in a Static Route
- Click "Dispatch View."
- Click "Add a Line" to add your first location (starting depot).
- Continue adding locations along the route (only addresses are needed at this stage).
- Ensure the last stop is also a depot to complete the route.
- Click "Save & Close" to finalize the static route.
Launching the Static Route
- At this stage, you can change the route state from DRAFT to RUNNING to officially launch it.
