Managing DVIR Checklists in PRO Software

The Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) Checklist in PRO Software ensures that pre- and post-route vehicle inspections are properly completed and stored for compliance and safety. These checklists are signed by drivers and saved under each vehicle for easy tracking.

How to Customize a DVIR Checklist

  1. Open the "Route Scheduling" module.
  2. Click "PRO Data" in the header menu.
  3. Select "Check Template."
  4. Choose the checklist you want to customize.
  5. Click "Edit."
  6. Set the Name, Type of Form, and Email Recipients.
    • If a driver selects "NO" to a required item, a notification will be sent to the specified email(s).

PRO TIP: This feature ensures that managers stay informed about incomplete or failed inspections.

Editing DVIR Checklist Fields

You can customize the checklist fields by adjusting the Description, Type, and Required Status:

  • Field Options:
    1. Yes/No
    2. Checkbox
    3. Text Box
  • Make Fields Mandatory:
    • Select the checkbox next to a required field.
    • If marked required, the driver will not be able to start their route until the item is completed.
  • Click the trash can to delete a line.
  • Click "Save" when finished.

Assigning DVIR Checklists to Trucks

  1. Open the "Route Scheduling" module.
  2. Click "PRO Data" from the header menu.
  3. Select "Trucks."
  4. Open the truck details by selecting the desired vehicle.
  5. Click "Edit."
  6. Go to the "Signed Documents" tab.
  7. Select the DVIR checklist that needs to be completed by the driver.
  8. Click "Save."

Storing and Accessing DVIR Checklists

  • All completed DVIR checklists are stored under the assigned vehicle.
  • Mechanics can be given access to view and update records for maintenance tracking.
